Deserted Cabin

It was the middle of July. It felt like it was a hundred degrees outside. I was with my mom, brother, aunt, and cousins. My Dad and uncle were at home working on their motorcycles. We were hiking to the top of Mount Tam, to go to the place where my parents were married. We finally got to the top and went to the Inn to get some drinks and appetizers. About an hour later we were getting ready to leave. We walked out and started toward the trail but then my cousins and I found another trail going the other way. We asked our parents if we could go that way, and they said yes, because they knew where it ended and just said to call when we got to the bottom. We started on the trail and it was all downhill, so it was going to be an easy hike. It started out as a gravel road, but then turned into dirt. The trail was steep, and winded downwards. We finally got to the bottom of the hill, and reached a split trail. We decided to take the left trail. The trail didn’t take long, but we finally realized it wasn’t the right one because it led to a deserted cabin. It looked like something out of a scary movie. There was a rocking chair rocking, but no wind. My brother got really scared and so did my younger cousins. My oldest cousin and I were a little scared, but more interested than anything. We started to walk forward towards the cabin, but the others stayed back. I wanted to go inside, but my cousin was hesitant. So I told him I would go first. I slowly walked up the stairs to the porch. At first I tested them all to make sure they could hold my weight. They did so I stopped testing them. Sure enough, I got to the last stair and it made a loud creaking noise. Before I could jump off my foot fell through the stairs. A whole bunch of dust came flying up around me, and I couldn’t see anything and I got really scared. A few seconds later the dust settled and my cousin ran over and pulled me out. We didn’t want to stay any longer so we started running back to where the trail split and went the right way and ran all the way to the end.

$10,000

I think the youngers family should either go with the liquor store or get a house. I dont think Beneatha has been responsible enough to get the money because she has been through so many things and never actually stuck with it. If walter opened a liquor store i think he is right about getting more money after that, because people will probaby keep coming back for more. But it also depends on where he opens the store. I also think that the family really needs a new house, because travis is already leeping in the living room, and with a baby on the way, i think it would be smart to get a better and bigger house.

Valentines day.

Valentines day is one of my favorite days out of the year. Usually i make a whole bunch of little candies to pass out to my friends, but this year Valentines day is on a saturday and there is no school. A lot of people passed out valentines the friday before, but i just decided to skip this year. Even though i didnt make my special candies, i did have a valentine. My Valentine was cameron. Even though he didnt get me anything, it has still been a good day, and hopefully this weekend will be nice too.
